Arizona GOP Senator John McCain and presidential candidate is the luckiest man alive.

What we have this election season would be funny if it were a movie plot.  On one hand we have a senator that’s running for president that is everything in the world that I’m against.  He’s a border line socialists and stands for very little that I have believed in all my adult life.  On the other hand, we have Illinois Senator and democratic candidate Barack Hussein Obama.

So, what do we do?  Our best hopes are that Senator McCain picks a winner and a real conservative for a running mate in the VP slot.  That’s going to be hard to do since if it were me, I wouldn’t want my name attached to the stigma of running with him.  Rumors of picking Joe Liberman are dying out and thank God for that.  Now Liberman may be morally one of the best inside the Beltway but he’s still a liberal democrat.

So what makes McCain so lucky?  He’s running against someone that’s so far to the left it’s scary.  Obama is so inexperienced in national and international affairs, folks will soon realize he’s an empty suit.  He’s been called an excellent orator and I readily agree he is with a prepared speech.  However, when he starts talking off the cuff, he shows he can’t think and stand up at the same time.

I honestly believe that Hillary Clinton would have mopped  the floor with McCain in the general election but he’s lucky to be running against Obama because his numbers are starting to slide upwards.  Against any other democratic candidate, I don’t think he’d have stood a chance.  As it is with Obama, he just might squeak through.

God help us all.

David
